Starcraft Brood Wars is one of the expansion extra content for the game, and it's a pretty interesting one. About the game
After the destruction of the Overmind, the supreme leader of all the Zerg, all of their hordes were left out of control across a ton of planets. Some renegade Zergs attempt to form a new Overmind and overthrow the leadership of Kerrigan, the Zerg Queen, All of this while the Protoss try to survive on what's left of their planet and the Earth Confederation has decided to take actions against the dictator Mengsk.

By that time, it was pretty common to get expansions in separate CDs after you bought the original game. But in many of the cases, they were so filled with problems and things that, instead of expanding the game, made the title more laggy and unstable.
In games like Doom 3D, these expansion packs were also mostly limited to just adding new weapons and such. But Blizzard made things pretty different there. In games like Warcraft 2 and Diablo, they added incredible amounts of content into the original game through these expansions.

The appearing movie download. Starcraft Brood Wars included so many great things to the original game that it became a must-have for the fans. They added amazing introductions to the missions that had a cinematic quality. New themes, units, levels, missions, and much more. All of this while having an amazing plot and expanding the lore of Starcraft.

Graphics and visuals: It maintains the very same visuals of the base game here. They added new introductions to the missions that were incredibly better than those of the base game. It really leveled up the visual quality of the game in that aspect, and that wasn't an easy thing to do.
Gameplay: The game plays just as great as the original base game, as it should. It didn't miss any of the base game mechanics, and it actually introduced new units. The new balances and the cool new combinations are excellent in Brood Wars.
Sound: The music in this game is incredible. They added new themes to go according to all the new content, and it's just perfect. Adding sounds and music is one of the best, and most simple ways of improving a game through an expansion, and Brood Wars did it just perfectly.
